Guess the Castaway

One hidden Survivor castaway, six guesses. Every miss sharpens the photo and reveals the next clue, from the season down to their votes against.

One shared castaway per day, the same for everyone, drawn from the 751-castaway dataset that powers the rest of the site. Every clue is a real fact from the show.

How to play

A castaway’s cast photo starts blurred and drained of colour. Type any castaway’s name to guess. A correct guess wins; a wrong one sharpens the photo a step, reveals the next clue, and nudges you earlier or later in the seasons. The clue ladder runs vague to specific:

  1. Season. Which season the castaway debuted in.
  2. Starting tribe. Their original tribe and its colour.
  3. Placement. How far they made it that season.
  4. Days lasted. Days survived before going home.
  5. Votes against. Tribal-council votes cast against them.

Solve in as few guesses as you can, keep a daily streak alive, and share a spoiler-free result grid. A fresh castaway unlocks every day at midnight UTC.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Guess the Castaway?

A single Survivor castaway is hidden behind a blurred, grayscale cast photo. You have six guesses, typed into a name search that covers every castaway in the show. Each wrong guess sharpens the photo one step and turns over the next clue, in order: the season, the starting tribe colour, their placement, days lasted, and votes against. Guess it before the photo clears to win.

Is it the same puzzle for everyone?

Yes. One shared castaway is chosen per day and is identical for every player worldwide, so you can compare results. A new castaway unlocks at midnight UTC, and the result screen shows a countdown to the next one.

Which castaways can be the answer?

The daily answer is always a reasonably recognizable castaway with a cast photo, a winner, a returnee, a juror, or a deep finisher, and only from a season that has finished airing, so there are no live-season spoilers. You can still type any castaway from the whole show as a guess.

Does my streak save?

Your guesses and result are saved in your browser, so refreshing never resets today’s game, and solving keeps a daily streak going. Nothing is uploaded; the streak lives only on your device.

What does "faster than X% of players" mean?

It is a fun estimate of where your number of guesses lands on a plausible curve of fans, not a live head count. It is deterministic, so everyone with the same result on the same day sees the same figure.
